Jeaneen: I am still rooting for Jack and Emily on Revenge! Please tell me there’s hope for them.
Come on, there’s always going to be hope for those two! “There’s one person who knows who Amanda Clarke is and it’s Jack,” EP Aaron Harberts told us. “There’s someone else, and it’s David, but we really love the idea that Emily’s going to turn to Jack to ask for help in reidentifying and redeveloping her identity. He’s going to be key this season, really key this season.”

The Hamptons is getting a Privileged new resident.

Brian Hallisay is joining Revenge‘s upcoming fourth season in the recurring role of Ben, a new friend of Jack’s and a local cop. Fun-loving and easy going, he’s drawn to Jack’s world and especially to the people in it (including, presumably, Emily).

Hallisay is coming off a two-season stint on Lifetime’s The Client List, where he met his now-wife Jennifer Love Hewitt. Prior to that, he did an arc on Ringer and was a regular on (the aforementioned) Privileged. He’s currently recurring on Mistressesas, coincidentally, a character named Ben.

He’ll first appear in Revenge‘s Season 4 premiere on Sunday Sept. 28 at 10/9c.

Meg: Confession: I am still obsessing over Revenge‘s finale! What’s next for Emily now that she’s gotten her revenge?
Our heroine will attempt to put all the lies and revenge behind her and will be “living in truth,” this season, per executive producer Gretchen Berg, with EP Aaron Harberts adding that “having to deal with the blowback from what she’s done, how does that push her relationship forward? She’s going to have to own a lot of the things she’s done.” And that will definitely be happening with Charlotte. And bonus scoop: there won’t be a time-jump in the premiere. “Everything we left the audience with, we  want to explore,” Harberts said.

Question: You mentioned last week in Ask Ausiello that Revenge is adding anew love interest for Emily — anything else you can share about the new guy? —Janet
Ausiello: He’s a childhood friend of Jack’s who has a touch of PTSD from his military days. He decides to make his short-term visit to the Hamptons permanent after something life-changing happens to Jack, then makes fast friends with a number of the locals — including Em.

Question: Revenge Season 4 — hit me! —Jacob
Ausiello: I am not a violent person, Jacob, but I’m about to smack you upside the head with a doozy of a Revenge scoop: Emily’s getting a major new love interest this fall. Details are sparse, but I hear the recurring character will be sexy (duh), charming (double duh) and full of secrets (I made that last one up, but, um, triple duh). Jack/Emily ‘shippers shouldn’t throw in the towel though. Revenge exec producer Aaron Harberts hinted to Variety.com that the bond between the star-crossed lovers will likely intensify in the wake of David’s resurrection. “There’s really only one character on the show who knows the relationship between David Clarke and the girl who was Amanda Clarke, and that’s Jack Porter,” he said. “In a year of Emily asking herself, ‘Who is Amanda Clarke? How do I get back to that?’ Jack’s going to play such a huge component in that.” Harberts also revealed that Season 4 will represent a major shift for the drama. “So much of the show was built on the past, but with Conrad being taken down and with [flight] 197 being put to bed, what we’re most excited about is now the show can start living and breathing in the present.” Speaking of Revenge, did you see this?!
