When everything you love has been stolen from you, consider my story as you embark on your own journey of revenge… and always remember, what goes around comes around.
“Two Graves” (Series Finale) – Backed into a corner, Emily is forced to admit her guilt, but she’ll have to decide how far she’ll go before admitting defeat, on the season finale of “Revenge,” Sunday, May 10th on ABC.
Straight up: Is Emily Thorne going to die on Revenge? — Mark
Well, the series finale is titled “Two Graves,” so her survival odds are not looking great at the moment. “It is the end of a journey, but it’s a journey that’s been so darkly taken,” EP Sunil Nayar tells me. “How do we want her to feel at the end of this journey, and how do we want the audience to feel about the nature of this journey? Do we want this to be a tale where people think, ‘I should go do that,’ or do we want people to think, ‘I could go do that, but there’s a serious price to be paid by doing it!’? At the end of the day, there’s no getting out of this clean, whether that means you’re dead, deeply wounded or carrying this darkness with you. You’ll see that everybody in the show is affected by the world they’ve gotten themselves into and the darkness that’s hard to pull out.”
ABC is giving Revenge the red Sharpie treatment.
After four twisted seasons, the primetime soap will reach its conclusion in the May 10 season series finale, TVLine has confirmed.
Though the writing has been on the wall for some time — star Madeleine Stowe’s recent departure felt like the nail in the coffin — showrunner Sunil Nayar told TVLine that he wasn’t necessarily planning for this to be Revenge‘s swan song.
“To say we’re approaching this as the last season would be wrong,” he said in December. “But we’re not scared to make choices that will make people ask ‘Where is this going?’”
Now that the finale has been shot and screened, Nayar tells EW.com it’s a different story: “We can officially tell our fans that this will be the end of the story. … We’ve been talking to the network and we all just wanted to make sure that we felt very confident.”
It’s been a wonderful four years with you all and I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. So thank you.

Question: Any word on what’s happening with Revenge? The last few episodes have all felt very series-finale leaning. Will it be renewed or cancelled? And if we do get a Season 5, is there a major revamp in store? —Sean
Ausiello: Based on what I’m hearing about the finale, there would have to be a major revamp if the show returns for a fifth season. Actually, forget revamp — there’d have to be a whole new show.
Question: Ever since Emily VanCamp tweeted that picture of herself with Tom Amandes, I’ve been freaking out over the impending Everwood reunion. What do you know? — Tim
Ausiello: Oh, we know quite a bit, Tim, including that the circumstances of their meeting might not be as clear-cut as they seemed in VanCamp’s tweet. “I know that it appears Amanda Clarke is in prison garb in a courtroom, but in regards to this show, it really means nothing,” Revenge showrunner Sunil Nayar advises. “It could mean she’s been arrested, or it could mean she’s undercover, or it could mean she’s pulling a play on someone.” All right, Tim, take your pick!
